For the Hampton by Hilton Amsterdam Arena we are looking for an Allround Front Office Employee fulltime per direct.


Job description

A wonderfull broad front office function where you perform, in changing shifts, all subtasks of receptionist as well as concierge. Besides front office tasks, you serve guests in the bar and you are able to assist during the breakfast service.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Start every stay right by swiftly checking guests in and out – take IDs, hand out room keys, and control and release safety deposit boxes
  • Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities and telling them about ways to improve their stay
  • Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience
  • Handle cash and credit transactions
  • Always know what events and activities are on the day’s schedule
  • Jump into other duties when your colleagues need your help
  • Handle incoming phone calls
  • Providing excellent service and guest experience
  • Providing wakeup service, laundry service and tourism information
  • Arranging restaurant reservations in the area
  • To function in the bar and when necessary, assist during breakfast service.

Requirements

  • Minimum MBO work- hands on mentality, preferably a finsished tourism-related education
  • Relevant front office experience in hotels
  • Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
  • Fluency in the local language and English
  • Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
  • You have your own transportation or can reach the hotel 24/7 (you are able to travel before 7:00 and after 23:00, on weekdays, weekends and during holidays.)

The hotel is very easy to reach; located opposite the train and metro station Bijlmer Arena. As a result, you are within Amsterdam central station, Schiphol Airport or Utrecht central station in just 20 minutes. In addition, the Ziggo Dome, AFAS Life and the Amsterdam Arena are within walking distance. This is how many national and international guests come.
