The Assistant Front Office Manager is in charge of all daily operations at the Front Office including back of the house administration tasks in the absence of the Director of Rooms. S/he functions as receptionist/dutymanager but also takes over administration tasks of the FO. You are in charge of the work schedule and vacation planning.

Main duties;

* Assists the Director of Rooms in managing and coordinating Front Office procedures to provide highest standards of service;

* Delegates Front Office team assisted by the Director of Rooms;

* Assists in checking and controlling of work outcome in regard to hotel’s standards;

* Functions as Front Office Clerk incl. Concierge and Receptionist tasks during days and night;

* To create strong relations with the members and regular guests and continuously strive to encourage new members.

* Aligns tasks, questions and complaints with other departments;

* Prepares the working schedule;

* Reporting sickness of team members to HR in absence of the Director of Rooms;

* Assists in the coordination of working procedures within the department;

* Gives instructions and assigns tasks;

* Leads by example, setting an energetic pace within the team;

* On the job coaching and training new team members;

* Joins projects or focus groups for the improvement of product and service;

* Works together with other departments;

* Performs appraisals.

* Develops the team in upsell and sets clear goals.

Guides the team to meet the Accor KPI’s e.g enrollments, RPS etc.


Profile:

Working experience in Front Office in 4*/5* hotels;

MBO/HBO diploma is preferred;

Familiar with fire procedures, preferably BHV;

Familiar with hotel security standards;

Working experience with Opera Cloud;

Preferably proven record with reservations.

Fluent in English and/or Dutch, a third language is a pre;

Excellent communication skills;

Service and guest oriented;

Excellent delegating skills;

Being able to remain calm under pressure;

Pro-active rather than re-active

People oriented;

Hands on mentality;

Able to work well in a team and alone;

Flexible and Enthusiastic.
