Bar employee - Amsterdam

As an employee in our Library Bar, you provide our guests with drinks, snacks, tips about the city and stories to make their stay with us as fun as possible. During your shift, you ensure that you serve perfect quality drinks and snacks to the guests. You also ensure a neat and clean pantry, bar and workplace. 

Main responsibilities and duties

Daily activities:

• Starting or closing the bar: responsible for starting or closing the bar according to the agreed rules.
• Information provision: you give the guest tips and advice to make their stay in our city as pleasant as possible. 
• Booking tours / tickets / restaurants, etc.: together with the Front Office team, you help the guest to book what the guest requests. 
• Teamwork with the restaurant: in collaboration with the restaurant team, you welcome guests and guide them to the restaurant if necessary. 
• Keeping track of meetings and the lobby: keeping track of meetings that are taking place and taking care of guests who have taken a seat in the hotel lobby. 
• Maintaining the pantry: you have a leading role in the cleanliness of the pantry and maintaining the glassware for the restaurant. 
• Cleanliness of reception and lobby: you keep your working environment and the lobby tidy for our guests. 
• Cleanliness of the back: you contribute to a neat pantry. 

Teamwork and collaboration:

In the role of bar employee, you work closely with the restaurant employees and the kitchen employees as part of the F&B team. As a bar employee you are also in frequent contact with the front office team. You work together to provide our guest with the best service possible.

In addition to teamwork with colleagues within the department, we also ask for teamwork with other departments of our hotel in order to provide the guest with the best possible quality and service and to exceed expectations.
