At Hotel Casa Amsterdam, we are looking for an enthusiastic Bartender to join our East team. As a Bartender, you will become part of our energetic Food & Beverage team.

A day as...

Today your shift starts at 4:00 PM, and after clocking in, you head to your domain: the bar. Once there, you quickly check if everything is set up for the evening.

Your colleagues did a fantastic job restocking everything yesterday, so you can get to work right away! Today is Thursday, which means it's Little Friday! Every Thursday, you and your fellow bartenders come up with the cocktail of the day; today, it's the Gin Basil, one of your specialties.

The hotel is busy, and you expect many guests tonight who will enjoy a cocktail or a nice beer at the bar. Of course, your cheerful smile helps promote our delicious drinks.

In short: the bar fills up quickly, and with your bartender skills, guests stay at the bar all night! After many cocktails, beers, and snacks, you end the evening with a good feeling. You've had a great workday, had lots of conversations with guests, rocked it with your colleagues from East, and enjoy a closing drink together!

Your responsibilities...

Welcome guests, take orders, and ensure the 'perfect serve' of these drinks;
Provide advice on the various beverages that Casa offers;
Pour beers, shake cocktails, and serve snacks to guests at the bar;
Create a pleasant atmosphere at the bar by engaging in conversations with guests and providing them with the best tips about Amsterdam;
Replenish the bar and perform mise en place tasks;
Ensure the bar is clean and presentable for our guests;
Support your colleagues from East when needed.

You...

Are extremely guest-oriented;
Have at least one year of work experience as a bartender;
Have an interest in wine, cocktails, beer, and other beverages;
Can unleash your creativity with various cocktails and have extensive knowledge in this area;
Are a social person, who enjoys making conversation;
Are stress-resistant and know how to prioritize effectively in busy situations.

Your team...

As a Bartender, you become part of our Food & Beverage team, which includes our kitchen brigade, the Meeting, Events & Operations Team, EAST (our restaurant), and GAPP (our rooftop terrace).

As a Bartender, you work closely with Bar Shiftleader Tima and Head Barista Janine Jetten, under the leadership of Restaurant Manager Janine Odink. The rest of the team consists of various full-time and part-time colleagues.
