Your day starts at 06:00 AM. You start with a coffee and you still have time to catch up with your colleagues. Breakfast starts at 06:00 AM. When the first guests come in you greet and ask them about their stay. You note the room number and ask if there are any special wishes. If there are questions from the guests you answer them in the best possible way. You enjoy taking the extra step and making the connection with the guests.
You notice that items on the buffet are going quickly and communicate this to your colleague or take action yourself to replenish what is needed. You know how to address guests in a friendly manner and ensure that they can enjoy their breakfast without any worries. At 14:00, your shift is over, and you head home with a sense of fulfillment. Tasks and responsibilities
You are a host to our guests. You enjoy having a chat with the guests and you do it with enthusiasm;
You are responsible for the entire preparation, restocking and ordering of breakfast items;
You also ensure that the buffet, breakfast area, kitchen, and public spaces are kept clean.
You will also be responsible for proper adherence to HACCP guidelines and inventory control.
- Communicative skills in the English and/or Dutch language;
- The public transport timetable does not prevent you from being on time;
- Being attentive to the wishes of guests and complying with the set rules.
- You are a happy morning person;
- You enjoy working in a team;
- You have a proactive attitude;
- You are guest and service oriented;
- You want to provide optimum service.
On the 30st of December 2010, the Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Schiphol was opened, featuring 112 hotel rooms. Hoofddorp train station is a 10-minute walk away, making the hotel ideally accessible. From Hoofddorp station you are within 4 minutes at Schiphol or you are within 20 minutes with a direct connection in Central Station Amsterdam. For example, you are in no-time at the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Dam. In addition, there is the opportunity to park at the hotel.
