At 05:45 you start your day. When you come in you have a quick chat with your colleagues and drink a cup of coffee. At 06:00 you give order to start preparing the breakfast for the guests, check the buffet and makes sure the team is aware of expected breakfast guest. When the first guests arrive for breakfast, you have a quick chat with the guests and answer any questions. You notice the croissants are more popular than usual, so you give order to bake another 20. During the morning you hover around the hotel and notices peak challenges, guest requests and staff training and you take care on the way

As soon as breakfast is over you call upon your team. You give instructions for cleaning. You take a quick peek at the reservations list, update the schedule upon guest demand. You give order for a final check in the room. Once all employees are busy you take a look at the work schedules. You make a few adjustments, order breakfast items for the next days at the supplier. After this you help your team and before you know it’s time to head home. 


Tasks and responsibility’s:

  • Making sure the tasks are divided well on your shift;
  • Helping your team in serving breakfast for the guests;
  • Carrying responsibility to create an inviting presentation for different breakfast buffets;
  • Helping guests when something isn’t clear.
  • Manage everyday activity, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers
  • Train colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect
  • Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues
  • Make sure all food and beverage equipment is in operational condition and regularly cleaned
  • Make sure all food and beverage hygiene standards are met according to the HACCP rules and regulations
  • Make sure all food and beverage facilities including surrounding spaces are clean and properly stocked to anticipated business volume. Notify engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs
  • Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals. Help guests with their requests and complaints - making sure you maintain a high level of guest satisfaction
  • Leason with the F&B manager to support overall F&B service with the team

 

  • At least two/three years of experience in a function where you are directing employees;
  • Very good social- and communicative skills;
  • You possess a good level of English, Dutch is a plus;
  • Being capable of working in a team but also independent;
  • A hygiene or BHV certificate is a plus;
  • Being able to work morning, weekend and bank holidays shifts is a must.
