Your day starts at 06:45 AM. You start with a coffee and you still have time to catch up with your colleagues. Breakfast starts at 07:00 AM. When the first guests come in you greet and ask them about their stay. You note the room number and ask if there are any special wishes. If there are questions from the guests you answer them in the best possible way. You enjoy taking the extra step and making the connection with the guests.
You notice that the items on the buffet go very fast and you already start preparing new items so that they can be refilled when finished. After a few weeks you have completely found your way! You know how to speak to the guests in a friendly way and ensure that they can enjoy their breakfast without worry. When breakfast is over you prepare the products for the next day, thoroughly clean the buffet & kitchen and check if any items need to be ordered with our suppliers. Around 14:00 PM your shift is finished and you go home feeling satisfied. There are plenty of opportunities for you to grow in the company. Tasks and responsibilities
- You are a host to our guests. You enjoy having a chat with the guests and you do it with enthusiasm;
- You are responsible for the entire preparation, supplementing and ordering of breakfast;
- You take care of cleaning the buffet & kitchen;
Job requirements
- Communicative skills in the English and/or Dutch language;
- You are able to reach the hotel any day of the week at 06.45am at the latest by bike, car or public transport;
- Being attentive to the wishes of guests and complying with the set rules.

Who are we?
In June 2012, the Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - South was opened featuring 80 hotel rooms. The hotel is located near the center of Amsterdam, the RAI and the Zuidas axis; an excellent location for both our business and tourist guests. A tram and metro stop is right next to the hotel so that both guests and staff can easily reach the hotel. In addition, there is ample parking around the hotel which is free of charge for team members.
The hotel Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam – South belongs to the portfolio of The Vincent Hotel Group. This is the umbrella organization that has a total of 11 hotels and a head office (Support Office).
