Hotel TwentySeven is looking for reinforcement in the kitchen of Bougainville! We are a small, close-knit, and friendly team. Do you want to join us in providing the ultimate guest experience? We are looking for new top talents who are available full-time for 38 hours per week.


Restaurant Bougainville is renowned among connoisseurs for its amazing dinners and gastronomic experiences filled with imaginative creations. Within one year of opening, Restaurant Bougainville was awarded a Michelin star. The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Tim Golsteijn. Over the past 5 years, we have won several awards, such as the Best Sommelier of the Netherlands 2018-2019 and the winner of the McNie tasting trophy (Lendl Mijnhijmer) and the Hennessy Hospitality Award 2021 (Max Oude Veldhuis).


In short, here's what you'll be doing:

  • Preparation and serving;
  • Monitoring and controlling the quality, doneness, taste, color, viscosity, etc., including adjusting and correcting the preparation;
  • Assessing ingredients for quality, freshness, shelf life, etc.;
  • Controlling, managing, and accounting for the correct quantity of raw materials;
  • Portioning and cooking according to established instructions regarding ingredients, recipes, working methods, and presentation;
  • Preparation of simple meals for staff;
  • Guiding, supervising, and advising assigned staff and apprentices;
  • Scheduling and assigning tasks, including giving instructions;
  • Monitoring the quality of work performed;
  • Ensuring compliance with all hygiene and cleaning regulations (HACCP);
  • Ordering and stocking food items according to procedure;
  • Receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods;
  • Performing all other relevant duties;
  • Making a creative contribution to the menu, menus, and events;
  • Developing and adjusting recipes and accompanying instructions.

Here's where you recognize yourself:

  • You are an ambitious culinary professional with a passion for conveying your knowledge and enthusiasm in the kitchen/dishes;
  • A team player with a 'hands-on' mentality and perseverance;
  • You share your knowledge of products and dishes, you have experience in training apprentices, and you have a flexible attitude;
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and kitchen hygiene is a must;
  • You know how to provide service of the highest level, you have good communication skills, and a guest-oriented approach;
  • With your extensive gastronomic knowledge and keen eye for detail, you continuously exceed expectations;
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in professional kitchens at the highest level;
  • Despite the hectic situations that may arise, you remain accurate in your work while maintaining oversight of your section;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and/or English;
  • Extensive gastronomic knowledge and your keen eye for detail, you continuously exceed expectations;
  • Despite the hectic situations that may arise, you remain accurate in your work while maintaining oversight of your section;
  • Work experience in a kitchen at star level is a plus;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and/or English.

What we offer you:

  • Salary between €2.297,96 and €2,600 (gross based on 38 hours, depending on knowledge and experience)
