Will you become part of the team of Hotel Flora Batava in Breukelen?
Hotel Flora Batava opened in April 2021 on a unique country estate on the Vecht, near Breukelen, a special boutique hotel where history, nature and contemporary luxury come together.
The hotel has 45 beautiful rooms and suites, restaurant Bloei, a sunny terrace in the garden, 2 meeting rooms and a tea house. The listed villa is surrounded by a park-like garden.
The special location of the hotel invites you to discover it on foot, by bicycle or by boat. It is a place where guests can relax and enjoy themselves, but also where they can meet or work well and effectively.
Be part of the team and bring the outdoor space back to life. Hospitality and proactively responding to the wishes of the guests comes naturally to you and you like to take on challenges. We are therefore looking for a:
INDEPENDENT WORKING CHEF
What are you going to do?
Restaurant Bloei has a kitchen in which respect for the flavors and the versatility of Dutch products and ingredients are central. The dishes are characterized by stylish simplicity and beautiful pure flavors. As an independently working chef you are responsible for the preparation (mise en place) and the preparation of the dishes according to agreed instructions and work processes. You carry out these tasks independently and take your own initiative if you see that work is not done. You strive for a high level of quality and have an eye for details. In addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant, you also provide the dishes at the room service, tea house and meeting & events departments. You are flexible and also help other departments if necessary to ensure the hospitality experience of the guests.
Who are you?
- You have a passion for cooking.
- You are guest-oriented.
- You work very well independently but also function well in a team.
- You are stress resistant, you work efficiently and you are collegial.
- You like to tackle and are only satisfied when the work is done, even if that means that the work is done occasionally running out.
- You have MBO level 3 working and thinking level with completed training 'Independent Working Cook'.
- You have some work experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- You are available at least 32 hours a week.
