Maison Haas Hustinx is a boutique hotel in the historic center of Maastricht. Our hotel has 17 luxurious rooms and a spa, and since 2021 the Safar restaurant based on Mediterranean cuisine. The company has 35 employees from more than 10 countries who speak many different languages. The team is highly motivated and works closely together as a family to deliver the best personal service to our guests.


Safar is the last project of Maison Haas Hustinx, after a strong first year we would like to continue to grow, currently we are full every evening and we need more help in the kitchen. We are therefore delighted to expand the team with an enthusiastic chef!


We are looking for a chef de partie for our high-end restaurant.


Your day will consist of:

  • Preparing and serving hot and cold dishes
  • preparing dishes; daily mise en place
  • Keeping the kitchen tidy; preparatory and final work
  • Assist and help the chef where necessary
  • Give direction and instructions to assistent cooks and kitchen staff

The position can be parttime or fulltime, we can adjust the amount of hours to your own situation.

  • Experience of working in a professional kitchen
  • Making guests feel both at home and respected
  • Knowledge about food, ingredients and service etiquette
  • Speaks fluent English and/or Dutch
  • Able to use technology such as apps and service applications on mobile devices
  • Willing to develop skills and grow within HORECA
