Restaurant Bougainville is renowned among experts for its amazing dinners and imaginative gastronomic experiences. Within one year of opening, Restaurant Bougainville was awarded a Michelin star. The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Tim Golsteijn. Since April 2023, the front of house has been led by our Mâitre d’ Sommelier Ronald Opten. With his experience in top gastronomy, where he has worked for establishments such as the Amstel Hotel and Landgoed Duin&Kruidberg, he is an inspirational figure for both colleagues and guests.
As Chef de Rang, you are not only responsible for the necessary preparations of the restaurant but also for delivering high-level service. Restaurant Bougainville is known for its fantastic dinners and imaginative gastronomic experiences. In a nutshell, your task is to meet all the wishes and needs of our guests. Treat them with respect and kindness while providing them with detailed information about the dishes offered. You will be trained and guided by the best in the field to prioritize your development. Whenever you need training or guidance, we will provide it for you.

In summary, this is what you will do:
1. Take care of preparatory work for the service;
2. Deliver high-quality service in the restaurant:
- serving dishes with suitable wines
- preparing dishes at the table
- anticipating and exceeding guest wishes
3. Ensure the correct execution of various procedures within the department;
4. Continuously innovate and proactively improve service based on feedback from our guests.

1. You are an ambitious culinary professional with a passion for conveying your knowledge and enthusiasm to our guests;
2. You enjoy making guests as comfortable as possible;
3. You know how to provide top-level service;
4. With your extensive gastronomic knowledge and keen eye for detail, you continually exceed guest expectations and provide them with personalized service;
5. Despite hectic situations that may arise, you work accurately and handle everything down to the last detail;
6. Experience working in a Michelin-starred restaurant is a prerequisite;
7. You speak fluent Dutch and/or English.
What we offer:
8. Salary between €2,235.25 and €2,600 gross (based on 38 hours, depending on knowledge and experience);
9. After a successful probation period, you will receive a signing bonus of €250 upon signing your contract;
10. Possibility of a permanent contract;
11. Complimentary dry cleaning service for your work clothing;
12. We offer in-house training and growth opportunities! If you have ambitions to grow into a sommelier or expand your expertise in wine, and we see these ambitions in you, then upon your next contract, we will provide you with a fully paid wine course, and you will also be trained on the job by none other than our Mâitre d’ Sommelier Ronald Opten and his right-hand Merlijn Kemper.
13. The Bougainville experience: experience the restaurant as a guest together with a friend or partner (after successfully completing the probation period);
14. Regularly have a full weekend off;
15. Overtime is limited and can be taken as time off in lieu or paid out;

19. Reimbursement of travel expenses outside Amsterdam;
