We are recruiting a unique personality for the position of:

Chief Engineer | fulltime

What do we expect from you:

o  You are responsible for the daily management of all aspects of maintenance activities, both inside and outside the hotel and develop a maintenance plan to be followed accordingly;

o  You coordinate and perform routine maintenance, preventive maintenance and emergency repairs;

o  You oversee maintenance tasks and outsourcing, prioritizing timely and accurate completion;

o  You ensure clear and accurate user manuals are available for other departments and provide appropriate training;

o  You are responsible for technical projects such as renovations, upgrades and new construction projects within the hotel;

o  You maintain a helpful and professional attitude towards guests, colleagues, management and owners, promptly and positively responding to requests and inquiries;

o  You feel accountable for the quality of service, achieving/exceeding financial goals, short- and long-term planning and daily operations;

o  You maintain organized and accurate records regarding repairs, warranties etc. of installations and equipment;

o  You are responsible for the implementation and maintenance of fire safety systems and, in collaboration with HR, responsible for training in areas such as First Aid, fire safety, etc.;

o  You ensure proper stock and management of materials, equipment and tools and their storage.

Who are we looking for:

o  You have a degree or certification in a relevant technical field;

o  The majority of installations in the hotel are IT-based, so experience with a building management system is highly beneficial;

o  You have extensive knowledge in areas such as electricity, water, gas and IT infrastructures;

o  You have a passion for hospitality; effective work experience in luxury hospitality or healthcare industry is preferred;

o  Preferably, you have knowledge of hotel technology such as elevators, fire alarm systems, security systems, kitchen equipment, etc.;

o  You have knowledge of sustainability and environmental management; you can implement sustainable practices to reduce the hotel´s environmental impact;

o  You have an eye for technical innovation: you identify new technologies and methods that can enhance the efficiency and performance of technical operations;

o  You have knowledge of workplace safety regulations, as well as legal regulations related to technical standards in the hotel industry;

o  You possess good communication skills to ensure that technical needs are understood and addressed by guests, colleagues and suppliers;

o  You do not have a nine-to-five mentality and understand that we operate at the highest level in the hotel industry, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You are willing to be on call outside of your regular working hours (according to a predetermined schedule).
