What will your role be?

As our Concierge, you will connect with guests before their arrival to understand their wishes and plans in Amsterdam. You will anticipate their needs, know what will make them happy, and create a tailored programme for their stay. As a host of our hotel and city, you will be aware of all the different museums, activities, and festivities in Amsterdam and its surroundings. With intimate knowledge of Amsterdam's tourist hotspots and hidden gems, you will ensure every guest enjoys memorable and personalised experiences. With your enthusiasm, you will convince guests to participate in these activities by booking restaurants, museums, tours, transfers, and more.

Whether communicating in person, by telephone, or by email, the Concierge handles all questions, requests, and potential complaints promptly and accurately. Requests are registered swiftly and precisely in our systems to keep both guests and colleagues informed about the correct arrangements.

• A salary starting from €2.298 - €2.488 (full time) and commission;

Our Concierge team plays a crucial role in maintaining this high standard. Working both at the concierge desk in our stylish and lively lobby and in the back office, the Concierge communicates directly with guests and handles various internal and external communications. The Conservatorium Hotel welcomes a large variety of international guests, each with their unique preferences and desires.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal Concierge is a true host, embracing diversity and has a positive attitude, unique charm, and a distinctive hospitable style. As an excellent organiser, our Concierge effortlessly manages both personal tasks and guests' programmes, remaining calm under pressure and excelling as a dependable team player with a strong sense of responsibility. Our preferred candidate has the ability for "reading" others, understanding their underlying needs and desires. Furthermore, you have:

• A minimum of 2 years of work experience in Guest Relations or Concierge roles, with a preference for 5 star hotels;
• An academic background in hotel management (not required);
• Proficiency in English (Dutch and additional languages preferred) and impeccable communication style;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and front office systems (Opera, Alice and HotSos preferred);
• Flexibility to work morning, evening and weekend shifts.
