At Volkshotel, everything revolves around experience, and you make sure that sound, light, and visuals are on point. From club nights at Canvas to live acts at Doka, from film screenings to lectures—you are the go-to person for all things technical. Not just in the clubs and restaurant, but also in the conference rooms.

We are looking for someone with production experience and broad knowledge of audio and lighting. Someone who not only understands the technical side of things but also knows how to use it to create the right atmosphere.

What you will do:

Be the first point of contact for everything related to Volkshotel’s sound and lighting systems.
Think along about improvements in sound and lighting.
Prepare sound and lighting for club nights and events.
Provide technical support during live concerts.
Act as the main contact for external partners and colleagues regarding technical matters.
Keep technical spaces and inventory up to date.
Ensure all equipment is in place and working for ongoing productions.
Arrange equipment and freelancers when needed.
Provide technical knowledge and trainings to the operational team.

What we are looking for:

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Practical skills and the ability to solve technical issues with ease.
A sense of responsibility and the ability to oversee your workspace.
A structured and efficient way of working.
A relevant MBO or HBO degree, or demonstrable knowledge and experience.
The ability to work independently while remaining accessible to colleagues.
Flexibility and availability for at least 3 night shifts per month.
Experience in setting up sound for club nights.
Experience mixing bands.
