What will be your role?

As our Doorman, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, playing a key role in shaping their overall experience. In this role, you will take personal pride and ownership of the guests' arrival and departure, ensuring a seamless and welcoming process. Your role will include:

• Greeting Guests: Welcoming guests warmly, providing directions, and assisting with any immediate needs;
• Coordination: Introducing guests and visitors to the front office team and coordinating luggage delivery with the luggage porters;
• Logistics: Arranging transportation, managing traffic flow, and overseeing valet parking;
• Personalised Service: Staying informed about VIP and regular guests visiting any of our outlets and ensuring that each interaction is personalised to create a memorable, 5-star experience.

Throughout your workday, you will maintain up-to-date knowledge of all VIP and regular guests, ensuring each interaction is tailored to their needs and expectations. Your goal is to leave our guests with a lasting impression of our excellence and hospitality.

• A salary starting from €2.252 - €2.418 (full time);

What will your 5 star luxury working environment look like?

The Conservatorium Hotel offers two main entrances, each providing a distinct welcome. On the vibrant Van Baerlestraat, we greet hotel guests and visitors heading to our luxury shops, refined restaurants, and wellness center. Our Courtyard entrance, featuring valet parking, serves guests arriving by car. Both entrances lead to our glass atrium, where guests can check in, relax with coffee in the lounge, dine in our restaurants, or visit our invigorating wellness.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal new Doorman is friendly and courteous, enjoys interacting with guests and is a true ambassador of the Conservatorium hotel and Amsterdam. Furthermore, you have/are:

• At least two years of experience in a similar or related position;
• Detailed knowledge of Amsterdam’s hot spots and hidden gems;
• Proficiency in English (Dutch is preferred);
• Availability for shifts ranging from 07.00 to 00.00, including weekdays and weekends;
• A valid driver’s license (license B).
