In the former Scheepvaarthuis of Amsterdam, one of the most iconic 5* hotels in Amsterdam is now located, Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam. Where the passage tickets to the East and West used to be sold, a porter is now being sought who, together with the current crew, will ensure that the right course is set and the ultimate service is provided as befits this house.

Tasks and responsibilities
As a doorman, you are the first point of contact for our guests and the face of our hotel. You welcome everyone with a warm smile and offer help where needed, whether it is carrying luggage, parking the car or walking to the reception or another area in the hotel. The ability to put a smile on the faces of our guests is an indispensable skill. In addition, many guests will have questions about the city of Amsterdam and the hotel itself. Your extensive knowledge of the city and the hotel's facilities ensures that you can always provide our guests with useful and accurate information, making their stay even more pleasant. You also have an eye for safety and detail.
Your luggage
You speak Dutch and English (more languages are always welcome). You have a keen eye for detail and a warm, hospitable attitude. Your knowledge of the city of Amsterdam will certainly come in handy. A valid driver's license is required. With a dynamic and varied role, you are ready to make your mark on our hospitable world. Our offer

Then you will receive a travel allowance from 10 km. We will also register you with the Pension Fund for the Hotel and Catering Industry.
Based on a 3 or 4 working week ( numbers of hours in consultation) you will earn €1422,72 gross per month ( for 3 days per week) and €1802,11 gross per month in accordance with the HORECA Collective Labor Agreement. Our employees also receive an 8% holiday allowance on this amount. We always know the work schedule 3 weeks in advance. Our employees are of great value to us and we will anything to make you want to stay. There are always options for contract extensions and career opportunities.
About the hotel
The luxurious 5-star Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam is located in the Scheepvaarthuis, a 107 year old national monument in Amsterdam School style. The hotel has 205 luxury rooms, of which 22 suites, 8 meeting and event rooms, a Bar Lounge, a Spa & Wellness Centre and its own parking garage. Together with our team we welcome our guests to 'A World of Luxury & Art'!
