What will you be doing?
As a doorman, you are the first point of contact for our guests and the face of our hotel. You welcome everyone with a warm smile and offer help where needed, whether it is carrying luggage, parking the car or walking to the reception or another area in the hotel. The ability to put a smile on the faces of our guests is an indispensable skill. In addition, many guests will have questions about the city of Amsterdam and the hotel itself. Your extensive knowledge of the city and the hotel's facilities ensures that you can always provide our guests with useful and accurate information, making their stay even more pleasant. You also have an eye for safety and detail.
Where will you be doing this?
In the former Shipping House of Amsterdam, you’ll find one of the city’s most iconic five-star hotels: Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam. The hotel features 205 luxurious rooms, including 22 suites, 8 meeting and event rooms, a Bar Lounge, and a Spa & Wellness center. Conveniently located just 500 meters from Amsterdam Central Station and easily accessible from the highway, it’s a prime destination.

Our hotel is part of Amrâth Hôtels, a collection of 12 three-, four-, and five-star hotels across the Netherlands. Located in unique and central spots from Maastricht to Alkmaar, Amrâth Hôtels is renowned for its comfort, personalized service, and distinctive character.
Your qualifications
Your knowledge of the city of Amsterdam will certainly come in handy.
You have a keen eye for detail and a warm, welcoming attitude.
A valid driver’s license is required.
You have a good command of both Dutch and English. Speak an additional language? ¡Muy bien, sehr gut!
What do we offer you?
An uplifting position of (casual) 0 hours in the heart of Amsterdam.
A salary in accordance with the Hospitality collective labor agreement, 14,41 EUR to 15,03 EUR , based on a full-time contract of 38 hours and depending on your experience.
We offer a contract for 7 months or 1-year with the possibility of extension. We want you to stay with us!
After your first month, our ‘Know Where You Work’ program treats you to a free overnight stay in one of our hotels!
