DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station offers great views, exceptional service and vibrant food & beverage outlets and is currently looking for a new Duty Manager to join the Duty Management team!

Our hotel offers the award-winning rooftop bar LuminAir, the vibrant new WE ARE EDN restaurant and bar, Amsterdam’s most extensive breakfast buffet, and an in-house LOT61 coffee store. Our recently refurbished 557 guest rooms and 15 versatile meeting rooms, make our hotel a dynamic and exciting place to work.

Safety & Security, Smooth Operations, Shiny and Service, are the 4 pillars you will work with every day to ensure the optimal guest experience.

In short, as Duty Manager, you will be at the heart of the daily operations and ensure that every guest leaves the hotel satisfied and happy to return. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for maintaining our service standards and making our guests' lives easier. To do this, you will work closely with all departments in the hotel to come up with creative ways to exceed our guests' expectations. In addition, it is your responsibility to ensure the safety of all guests and colleagues. You will ensure a safe emergency exit route and respond to fire alarms, unusual situations and accidents. In short, you are the first responder within the hotel.

Who are we looking for?

Are you the type of person who notices every detail, makes every guest feel at home and to whom no VIP guest or incident escapes? Then you can put your qualities to optimum use with us!

To fill this position successfully, it is important that you have the following skills:

At least 1 year experience as a Duty Manager, Front Office Supervisor, or strong experience in a similar role.
You are persuasive with good communication skills both verbally and in writing
You enjoy thinking with the team for efficient handling of tasks. You enjoy working interdepartmentally and collaborating effectively with other team leaders.
You are a strong project leader and enjoy leading and directing projects within a team
You are an ambassador of the Hilton Values (Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership & Now).
Good command of both Dutch and English languages. Any other languages would be an advantage.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
A positive, proactive attitude where 'leading by example' is a key word
Previous experience with our PMS system, OnQ is a plus
