Executive Chef - Amsterdam

As an Executive Chef you know how important your appearance is. You ensure that all work in the kitchen runs smoothly. You are the one who makes changes to the menu and comes up with new recipes. When you enter the kitchen, the staff is ready for the day. You give your team structured instructions and then get to work quickly.

As an executive chef you oversee the whole day dining restaurant open lobby that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner to between 30 and 200 people daily, depending on events in the area. You also oversee the banqueting, mainly for business groups between 10 and 250 people. You will also assist the self-sufficient express breakfast team with advice and assistance, where between 350 and 650 people have breakfast every day.

An overview of your tasks and responsibilities:

·       You coordinate an efficient preparation process;

·       You order stocks from suppliers;

·       You make agreements with suppliers about prices and delivery conditions within guidelines;

·       Discuss the variable menu with the F&B Manager;

·       Implementing new dishes and menu ideas.

·       Financial awareness and cost control;

·       Ensuring compliance of hygiene regulations and safety regulations (HACCP)  

·       The implementation of the personnel policy for a kitchen of 8-10 employees;

·       Recruiting, scheduling, and supervising kitchen team;

·       Guaranteeing and ensuring a pleasant working environment;

·       Assessing the performance of employees.
