Executive Chef at De Plesman - The Hague

De Plesman is based in a historic monument, and is currently transformed into a brand-new lifestyle hospitality concept. All the (wonderful - if we can say so) basics are there: an astonishing monumental building, a restaurant, a bar, a gym and meeting rooms. But de Plesman is not your regular hotel, we do things differently around here.  

So... what is different you ask? We are bold. We are looking for someone who wants to evolve hospitality together with us. We believe our team members are at the heart of our hotel and make it such a special place. We can’t do this alone though, and hence we are looking for you to create fantastic culinary experiences for our guests in our restaurant, Suus.

• You approach menu creation and recipe development with curiosity, always exploring fresh ideas and trends, while efficiently managing HACCP, purchasing, cost control, budgeting, and scheduling. 

• You boldly champion guest satisfaction, proactively addressing inquiries and resolving challenges, while fostering a fun culture within your team. 

• With a sophisticated and strategic approach, you manage the departmental budget, driving productivity and performance, and cultivating kind and impactful relationships with key stakeholders. 

• You ensure the highest standards of compliance, boldly implementing best practices and paving the way for successful internal and external audits. 

• You ensure full compliance with laws and regulations, boldly implementing best practices for internal and external audits, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
