In the former Scheepvaarthuis of Amsterdam, one of the most iconic 5* hotels in Amsterdam is now located, Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam. Where the passage tickets to the East and West used to be sold, a sailor is now being sought who, together with the current crew, will ensure that the right course is set and the ultimate service is provided as befits this house.

Tasks and responsibilities

You are the enthusiastic employee who gets energy from providing guests with that drink they are craving and also knows how to sell a bittergarnituur at the same time. You understand that when guests use a meeting room, it has to be spotless, and you also immediately check whether the used coffee cups have been removed from the coffee machine. But also working during a large dinner, you know what needs to be done. In addition, you have no problem helping your colleagues behind the bar and you are always willing to help out. In short, there are many opportunities and various activities, and there are always a few that suit you.

Your luggage

We are looking for a real host/hostess who can offer guests an unforgettable service. Sometimes the end time can be a bit later and it is useful if you live in the Amsterdam area. Due to the many international guests we receive in Amsterdam every day, an excellent command of the Dutch and English language is required (more languages are always welcome 😉).

Relevant experience is always useful but not necessary, our team can teach you everything.

Based on working 38 hours per week, you will earn from 2279 (depending on your experience) gross per month in accordance with the Horeca CAO, if you are at least 21 years of age or older. If you are younger, you are also very welcome, but you will earn slightly less. The work schedule is always known 3 weeks in advance whereby a fair division will always be made between weekends and public holidays. There is still a nice allowance on public holidays worked, just like the 8% holiday allowance. Our employees are of great value to us and we want you to stay. There are always possibilities for contract extension and career opportunities.
