Financial Accountant - Full Time

If we have grabbed your attention, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team during a very exciting time in Clinks growth. Reporting directly into the Head of Finance and Hostel General Manager, you will be responsible for the month end reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial management of the entities under your remit. This is a key role in the organisation and pivotal in supporting the company, there is an opportunity to develop your knowledge in the finance space by supporting the team in other European countries

Role Snapshot:
This role will manage the finance function for a large Hostel located in Amsterdam, deliver accurate and timely financial reports and ensure the proper internal controls over key financial processes are maintained.
Completion of monthly management accounts, with appropriate commentaries, providing accurate and insightful analysis of performance
Being a key support to the General Manager of the businesses in helping to support financial management and achievement of group targets.
Compiling the annual budgets for the businesses each year in line with targets and objectives.
Oversee members of the accounts team working on accounts payable and receivables to ensure they are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
Oversee creditor reconciliations and that the administration of the purchasing system is maintained.
Preparation and filing of relevant tax returns for the business.
Preparation of a range of other financial reports to assist management in decision making and understanding performance.
Attendance at and actively participating in weekly finance team meetings.
Analysis of costs and identifying possible savings.
Responsible for annual audit and statutory accounts.
Completing monthly cash flow forecasts.
Ad hoc queries.

2 years post qualification experience in a commercial environment
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills, including the ability to articulate progress, issues and recommendations in a concise manner
Ability to deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ability and desire to learn new skills
Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate high energy and flexibility
Willingness to work on own initiative
Strong organisational skills
