The Script
As F&B Manager, you will lead our restaurant PRESSROOM and be responsible for all associated tasks and responsibilities. You report directly to the Operations Manager and act as the link between the F&B Supervisors and the Operations Manager. If needed, you will jump in yourself and enjoy the variety between operational and administrative roles such as processing tips, hours, orders, and much more!
Of course, you will ensure a smooth shift every day, coordinating and overseeing the various responsibilities. Each day, you enjoy taking your team and guests through the story of PRESSROOM and getting them excited about our drinks and dishes. It’s essential for you to support, coach, and develop your team well. You work professionally with your colleagues and appreciate a personal and relaxed way of providing service.
You’ll join a diverse and close-knit team that is bursting with passion for the industry. You have the necessary skills to channel this team's passion into inspiring service during breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. Additionally, you promote personal service and ensure that high standards within the hotel are maintained. The team consists of approximately 11 full-time staff members, supplemented by 2 dedicated part-timers and one or two interns. The team includes 2 F&B Supervisors, F&B team members, and bartenders. Restaurant PRESSROOM is open 7 days a week, so a flexible schedule on your part is no problem!

As the former headquarters of the newspaper 'De Tijd', our building was where stories were born, written, and ultimately printed in ink. This rich history comes to life in every detail in the 149 rooms, 2 meeting rooms, and restaurant & cocktail bar PRESSROOM.

We are looking for an enthusiastic F&B Manager who can help us make the story of PRESSROOM even more successful! In our selection, we pay attention to:
• You have 1 year of experience in a leadership role and a completed higher professional education, or;
• You have 1 to 2 years of experience in a leadership role;
• At least 3 years of experience in a Food and Beverage department;
• You are available during the week and on weekends;
• You have a flexible schedule, so you can work both mornings and evenings;
• You are available for 38 hours;
• Insight into legal regulations regarding safety and social hygiene;
• You are proficient in English and preferably speak Dutch as well.
