The Ibis Styles Rotterdam Ahoy is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Front Office Manager. In your role you will report to the Hotel Manager.

The hotel has 250 rooms and is located in the 'Hart van Zuid', just steps away from Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Center and the Zuidplein. The restaurant and terrace overlooking the Zuiderpark will be the Italian hotspot of Rotterdam-Zuid with freshly prepared Neapolitan Sourdough Pizzas and Italian inspired cocktails.

Together with the team you will do everything to ensure that the guest experience is optimal from arrival to departure. In everything you do you put the human point of view central. Employee satisfaction is central to this, with a focus on coaching and training. The training of employees is done in accordance with new work processes to be written.

Job description

Your duties and responsibilities include:

• Composing the team and carrying out recruitment, selection and training of staff;

• Establishing operational standards and implementing them;

• Optimizing the operational, commercial and financial performance of the Front Office;

• Monitor and if necessary adjust guest satisfaction;

• Aligning the cooperation between the various disciplines;

• Delivering optimal service from guest arrival to departure;

• Optimizing the success of the hotel;

• Coaching and supervising hotel employees;

• Oversee efficient staff scheduling;

• Conduct performance and performance appraisals with staff;

• Participating in management meetings;

• Identifying structural bottlenecks and suggesting areas for improvement.
