For the Holiday Inn Express in Arnhem we are looking for a: full-time Front Office Supervisor.

Job description

As a Front Office Supervisor, you are, together with the team, the calling card of our hotel. You have leadership qualities and you would like to develop them further. You coordinate a team and you plan tasks and responsibilities for a group of approximately 10 colleagues, where you work operationally yourself.

You are a star in hospitality and you are the example for the Front Office team. As a Front Office Supervisor, you are all-round and you work in shifts.

You are hands-on, like to take the lead and you are bursting with social skills! You assist the Front Office Manager and the General Manager. When they are absent, you are in Charge! This means that you will also perform duty shifts for the FLS in the building (together with the other leaders)

This makes your position versatile and varied, it gives you the opportunity to provide our guests with the best service anytime and anywhere.

Activities:

  • Performing/coordinating and arranging all common reception tasks.

  • Coaching and supervising the Front Office team

  • Coordinating and scheduling the various tasks during the various shifts (morning, evening, night) including planning, arranging, directing employees in work execution and personnel management.

  • Providing leadership, in shifts, to employees responsible for the day and evening and night reception, providing services to guests, baggage handling, monitoring security, key management and night audit. To this end, this includes: co-selecting new employees, setting up training/induction, carrying out assessments of receptionists.

  • Drawing up/executing/checking and, where necessary, adjusting procedures and checklists.

  • Handling questions/complaints from guests; if necessary, make decisions in consultation with the manager or independently during duty services.

  • Coordinating and planning the night reception and monitoring the quality of the service.

  • Optimizing the occupancy by accepting walk-ins and other reservations.

  • Identifying areas for improvement within the department and taking the initiative to take immediate action.

  • Ensuring that the 'Brand Standards' are complied with. This includes monitoring compliance with the house rules, clothing regulations and personal grooming of the team.

  • Jointly responsible for the cleanliness of the department, both in front of and behind the scenes.

All other activities related to the above on behalf of the manager.

On April 14, 2013, the Holiday Inn Express Arnhem hotel with 127 rooms was opened. The hotel is located 50 meters from the center, with various cafes and bars. Within walking distance of Arnhem Central Station and the A12 highway can be reached by car in 10 minutes.
