Front-Office Supervisor

As a Front Office Supervisor, you are part of the Front Office team, which consists of the Front Desk, Concierge, Porters, and Guest Relations. In this role, you work closely with your two fellow supervisors and report directly to our Front Office Manager. You collaborate closely with the team but also have plenty of opportunities to take on tasks independently.

What will you be doing?  

As a Front Office Supervisor, you are the first point of contact for both guests and colleagues, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. You lead a team of front office agents, concierges, porters, and reservations staff. During your shift, you are responsible for coordinating tasks and ensuring seamless communication between the Front Office and other departments. Additionally, you play a key role in training, guiding, and coaching (new) employees, helping them feel at home quickly and perform at their best. A clear and structured shift handover is second nature to you. Together with the Front Office Manager, you work on various projects to continuously enhance the guest experience and operational processes.

In the former Shipping House of Amsterdam, you’ll find one of the city’s most iconic five-star hotels: Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam. The hotel features 205 luxurious rooms, including 22 suites, 8 meeting and event rooms, a Bar Lounge, and a Spa & Wellness center. Conveniently located just 500 meters from Amsterdam Central Station and easily accessible from the highway, it’s a prime destination.

Your qualifications  

You have a positive and driven attitude.

With your smile and hospitable approach, you make every guest feel welcome, even after a four-hour delay.

You are able to communicate in an open, honest, and respectful manner.

You have experience working with a PMS system (MEWS is a plus).

You are skilled in Dutch and/or English. Do you speak an additional language? ¡Muy bien, sehr gut!

What do we offer you?  

An uplifting position of 38 hours in the heart of Amsterdam.

A salary in accordance with the Hospitality collective labor agreement, 2555 EUR to 2766 EUR , based on a full-time contract of 38 hours and depending on your experience.

We offer contract for 7 months or 1-year with the possibility of extension. We want you to stay with us!
