THE POSITION

As a Front Office Supervisor at The Rebyl Nijmegen, you are responsible for managing the team during your shift. You welcome guests at the front desk and offer them efficient and professional service. You know how to create a luxurious experience for the guests and act proactively. You are the main contact for questions and problems from guests and take care of the follow-up. You communicate fluently and assertively in Dutch and English with both guests and colleagues and have a positive attitude.




YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting the Front Office Manager;
  • Leads the Front Office team, trains, inspires and motivates your colleagues;
  • Adhering to and auditing Marriott standards;
  • Welcoming guests upon their arrival and taking care of the administrative formalities related to their entire stay;
  • Informing the guest about the hotel's facilities and speaking to them during their stay;
  • Closing the cash register and checking the outstanding bills;
  • Takes care of the feedback of our guests and ensures that they leave the hotel satisfied;
  • Assists with improvement plans for the department;
  • Co-determining staffing, recruiting and appointing new employees;
  • Provide valet parking and luggage service;
  • Carry out prevention rounds for risk detection.


HOW TO DO IT

  • Having a creative and warm personality and knowing how to connect with people is a great asset;
  • Be representative and guest-oriented;
  • Out-of-the-box thinking to create unique experiences;
  • Have a passion for order and a structured environment;
  • Being a team player and having a proactive attitude;
  • Excelling in communication and interpersonal relationships.


WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU

  • An enthusiastic and persuasive personality with a hands-on mentality and available full-time;
  • Able to train and guide employees in all aspects of service;
  • Minimum MBO working and thinking level;
  • At least 1 year of recent experience in the hotel industry at the front desk is a must;
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS and Marriott's systems, such as Marsha and GuestVoice is desirable;
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both verbally and in writing; Dutch knowledge is advantageous.
  • Hospitable, customer-friendly, convincing and enthusiastic.
