Group Reservations Coordinator - Amstelveen

Are you the kind of person who takes the lead in organizing the next fancy dinner with friends or a getaway with your family? Then we are looking for you! For the Borealis Hotel Group we are looking for a Group Reservations Coordinator for our hotels in Belgium and the Netherlands. Based in our office in Amstelveen you will coordinate all group enquiries for our properties which include Hilton, IHG and Accor brands.  

How will your day look like? 

You just walked into the office with a breath-taking view of the area and your phone rings, a meeting request for an amazing theme party in our Vault in the Indigo The Hague. The day has a flying start! You work on inquiries received by your other clients and make a few phone calls to check how the previous events you organised were experienced. In the afternoon you get an inquiry for a large group who would love to visit Amsterdam and Antwerp. Tomorrow another day to organise fantastic trips and fantastic parties.  

• You will be responsible for creating proposals, negotiating and contracting group and event business for the hotels; 

• Using revenue management tactics to maximize revenue; 

• Making follow-up calls and after sales to determine the guests experience and to keep the quality consistent; 

• Handling financial related tasks, such as commission handling and creating pro forma invoices. 

Who are you? 

• You are pro-active, customer focused and result driven; 

• You have a qualification in Hospitality or related major; or a minimum 1 year of experience working within Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, or a related professional area 

• You have a confident telephone manner; 

• You have great computer skills and preferably PMS system knowledge as well (e.g. OPERA/Delphi); 

• You are energetic, enthusiastic, creative and have an entrepreneurial spirit; 

• Solid understanding of the Dutch and English language both in speaking and writing.
