Hey you! Are you a technical jack-of-all-trades with an eye for detail? Do you have two right hands and do you know how to tackle things? Do you love fixing and building? Then we would like to get to know you!

 

As a handyman, you work together with the Cluster Maintenance Manager. You are involved in everything related to maintenance and technology inside and outside the hotels. This is a versatile and varied position in which you are responsible, among other things, for quickly and efficiently solving problems and malfunctions, following up on ad-hoc complaints and preventive technical expert work within the two hotels. Maintenance in the rooms and public areas of the hotels is also part of your duties.

You are responsible for maintaining the unique appearance of the various hotels and the associated guest rooms. You will also familiarize yourself with the many installations that the hotels have and you will be able to hold your own, both in a team and independently. We are looking for solid experience, a 'hands on' mentality, someone with a good work ethic and who expects high quality work from themselves and colleagues.

 

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

 

·         Troubleshooting and repairs to equipment, sanitary facilities, lighting, hinges and locks;

·         You also carry out (repair) painting work;

·         Calling in third parties/technicians in the event of disruptions to energy supply, central heating, lifts, etc. through management and co-coordination. After this, you must check these third parties/technicians;

·         Stock monitoring of materials (for example: lamps, furniture, small equipment);

·         Carrying out general work on behalf of managers, such as connecting audiovisual equipment and keeping public areas and the outdoor area clean;

What makes you the perfect colleague?

·         MBO working and thinking level, supplemented with professional training;

·         At least 2 years of work experience in a similar position. Work experience in a hotel environment is an advantage;

·         Communicative skills in the Dutch and English language;

·         You live in the vicinity of the hotel;

·         You are in possession of a driving license B;

·         You are the point of contact for everything related to technology and maintenance. This means that you are able to set priorities and coordinate matters;

·         You are reliable and you can work independently;

·         You have technical insight and affinity with repair work;

·         You have a social and service-oriented character: you enjoy dealing with (international) guests and working in an informal but ambitious environment;

·         It goes without saying that you are flexible in working days and working hours;

·         You will of course receive support where necessary, but it is important that you know who to engage from the internal organization or external parties;

·         You have a sense of humour and enjoy your work.
