As an employee of our housekeeping team, you are responsible for the daily cleaning, cleanliness and tidiness of the rooms and hotel (front & back). The cleanliness and tidiness of the rooms and the common areas which ensures that our guests are welcomed in a warm environment in our hotel.


Main responsibilities and tasks

Daily activities:

  • Cleaning of the guest rooms: responsible for the daily cleaning of the rooms.
  • Cleanliness of the front and back of the hotel: together with the team, you are responsible for the cleanliness of the corridors, walls, plinths, windows, sanitary facilities for general use and street in front and behind the hotel.
  • Refill storage spaces: together with the team, you refill the needed work supplies on a daily basis.
  • Cleanliness of common areas for staff: together with the team, you are responsible for the cleanliness of the common areas that are used by our employees such as lockerrooms and restrooms. These areas are cleaned on a daily basis.
  • Adjusting the room at the request of our guest: adjusting the room layout (beds) on the spot if the guest requests this.


Teamwork and cooperation

In the role of Housekeeping employee you work together with a team of housekeepers and housemen. You report to the Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager, but work independently and respectfully together. The division of tasks between housekeepers and housemen is present, but by working together you ensure a smooth and efficient working method, with which we keep the rooms, hallways and other areas tidy on a daily basis.


In addition to teamwork with colleagues within the department, we also ask for teamwork with other departments of our hotel in order to provide the guest with the best possible quality and service in order to exceed the expectations of the guest. This means working together and communicating with other operational departments, such as Technical Services, Front Office and Food & Beverage.

Qualifications and skills

Experience:

  • Experience with cleaning work is a plus
  • Experience with working in a team is a plus.
  • Skills in Dutch, Spanish or English.
  • Experience with working in a hotel is a plus.


Skills (hard and soft skills):

  • Being stress-resistant and being able to act effectively in unexpected situations.
  • Being good at planning, setting priorities and multitasking.
  • Attention to detail, cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Willing to work flexibly in days (also in the weekend).


Working conditions

Working hours:

  • The position requires flexibility in working days and in working hours. Weekends and holidays are also included, this depends on the needs of the operation.

Physical requirements:

  • Be prepared for physical work, where you stand, move and walk around for a full shift of 7.5 hours.
