Housekeeping Supervisor @ Via Amsterdam

Via Amsterdam is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our young and energetic team. We always want to give our guest a great experience. Cleanliness is one of the highest importance. Together with your Housekeeping team, which consists of ca. 25 enthusiastic Room Attendants and Housemen, you are responsible of the cleanliness of the rooms and common areas. You strive all together to make sure the hostel is absolutely SPOTLESS!

A work day includes:

Morning and/or evening duties
Ensuring there is an efficient daily planning to ensure optimal productivity levels.
Ensuring that the general look & feel of the rooms, pantries, corridors and public areas meet the Via standards at all times.
Daily shift briefing with the housekeeping team.
Resolving issues on the floor and ensuring the team complies with the company’s policies, procedures, guidelines.
Training (new) team members.

You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

You have experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role.
You are being super duper hands-on, it comes totally naturally to you and you act proactively to problems, issues and or concerns.
You have excellent hospitality – and communication skills. English required, it would be great if you speak another language as well.
You have some leadership skills.
You show a flexible mindset, taking in account the needs and wishes of our guests.
You share ideas how to improve service and have an eye for detail.
You are a great team player and love to work with people.
You have experience in working with digital systems, such as the Mews Commander app, and know your way around Excel, e-mail etc.
You are available mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.
You are familiar with the HACCP regulations.
