TVHG operates 11 hotels in the Netherlands, all hotels are operated under franchise agreements with three globally recognized brands; Holiday Inn (1), Holiday Inn Express (8) and Hampton By Hilton (2). The 11 hotels are spread across the Netherlands, seven hotels in and around Amsterdam and 4 hotels in key regional centres in Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Arnhem.

All hotels are supported by a central support office which is located at Amsterdam Sloterdijk. The support office supports the hotels with HR, Finance, Revenue & Sales and Operations services.

Position Summary: The HR Advisor will oversee the HR back office team while providing expert HR advice and support to managers and employees. This role is essential in managing HR administrative tasks, ensuring compliance, supporting talent management, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will have extensive HR knowledge, and the ability to streamline operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the HR back office team.
  • Set clear performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews with the HR coordinator’s and interns.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for HR team members.

HR Administration:

  • Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of employee records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, benefits, and other HR-related transactions.
  • Coordinate with other HR functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Advisory Support:

  • Provide expert advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist in resolving employee issues and concerns, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Talent Management:

  • Support recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Assist in performance management, including setting objectives, conducting reviews, and implementing development plans.
  • Contribute to succession planning and talent development initiatives.

Employee Development:

  • Advise on and support the implementation of training and development programs.
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate training solutions to enhance employee capabilities.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain required documentation and reports for regulatory compliance.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and systems.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HR administrative processes and make necessary adjustments.

Employee Relations:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Address and mediate employee relations issues, promoting a harmonious work environment.

Data Management:

  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of employee data.
  • Utilize HRIS and other technology to manage and analyze HR data.
  • Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making.


What makes you the perfect colleague?

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR administration in the Netherlands, with the ambition to grow.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
