In this role, you will act as support to the HR Supervisor and HR Director. You will take part in the different phases of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to onboarding and offboarding. You are the first point of contact for our colleagues and you will make sure that they will be the best version of themselves. You are an advocate for our brand and will be championing the values of the Amstel Hotel throughout the hotel! Sounds good right?

A taste of your day-to-day:

  • Taking part in the recruitment process together with our departmental leaders and recruiter to attract the best qualified candidates.
  • Working closely with the HR team to ensure that all administrative procedures are accurate and executed.
  • Being knowledgeable of current local and government regulations relating to employee practices.
  • Assist in the onboarding training.
  • Onboarding new colleagues by setting up all necessary documents and ensuring that new colleagues feel welcomed and prepared to join the team.
  • Ensuring that the hotel has appropriate staffing and making recommendations in terms of selection and development activities to achieve set goals and brand standards for both hotels.
  • Assigning and monitoring of e-learnings and other IHG trainings in the hotel, specifically during the starting phase of new colleagues.
  • Creation of a training calendar for the hotel.
  • Responsible for internal communication and for the organization of social events.
  • Providing counselling on policies and procedures to employees of the hotel
  • Maintaining and updating files on employee records, legal documents and other personal matters efficiently and confidentially.
  • Building and maintaining a strong relationship with all colleagues, acting as the go-to person.
  • You facilitate presentations, hotel tours and workshops for hotelschools
  • Monitoring staff performance and sitting in on the annual end of year reviews
  • Representing the Amstel hotel as a key employer in the local community.
  • Promoting teamwork and lifestyle service through daily communication.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required – unexpected moments when we have to pull together as a team to get a task done.


Profile

  • Strong organizational, task-management and presentation skills.
  • Pro-active attitude and eye for detail.
  • Knowledge and passion for luxury and hospitality
  • Available 5 days per week
  • Teamplayer
  • Knowledge of all applicable local employment and labor laws.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and in English.
