Independent working chef/cook - Rotterdam

Do you want to help our guests enjoy specials such as Côte de Boeuf, grilled burger made from MRIJ beef, whole sea bass from the charcoal oven, or grilled salmon fillet? Are you stress-resistant and able to keep a clear overview? Then apply for the position of Independent Chef.

Every day, you will prepare lunch and dinner for our guests. You will do this in the open kitchen at the Lido Grill restaurant. In the role of Independent Chef, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing, plating, and cooking dishes;
• Monitoring and checking the quality, taste, color, etc., of the ingredients;
• You will also work with the team to ensure compliance with HACCP and health and safety regulations in the workplace.

As an Independent Chef, you will have the opportunity to let your creativity flow. Of course, there are some set instructions to follow regarding ingredients, methods, and presentation. You will join a great team that works well together and is open to feedback.

Who are you?
We’re happy to help, but it would be great if you have 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar restaurant. You should have completed an MBO Level 4 education as an independent chef. Level 3 is also sufficient. The kitchen can sometimes get hectic during peak times, but you see this as a challenge.
