Your role:

In the Junior Property Manager role, you will support the management and maintenance of our venues and help manage projects. Together with your team, you ensure that our hotels remain in top condition and meet quality standards. You monitor the progress of work and help prepare schedules and budgets. In addition, you have a lot of contact with our stakeholders and understand how quotations work.

Event Hotels, who are we?

Event Hotels is the platform from which various hotel portfolios of Event Hotels are managed. At the service office in Amsterdam, this currently involves 23 hotels spread across 3, 4 and 5 stars and various hotel brands throughout the Netherlands and Austria. Furthermore, Event Hotels in Cologne has an office for 59 hotels spread over 3, 4 and 5 stars and various hotel brands throughout Germany. For this vacancy, you will be working for the Dutch hotels. In addition, various services are provided to the hotels by all departments.

As Property Manager, you will work in a team of three, including yourself, and report directly to the Technical Property Manager. Your responsibilities are diverse and challenging, involving:

  • Ensuring that safety and working conditions regulations are complied with in the hotels;
  • Keeping up to date with relevant laws and regulations, such as fire safety and the European Energy Directive;
  • Monitoring energy consumption and figuring out energy-saving measures;
  • Support the management of maintenance and technical management contracts, such as exterior painting and roof replacement;
  • Supporting hotels on all local maintenance contracts (compliance, advice on outsourcing issues, in-house management, etc.);
  • Requesting quotations and analysing them.

You are our ideal candidate if you have:

  • Technical knowledge; You have a background in tech;
  • Hotel management experience: Useful if you have worked as technical staff and understand administrative processes;
  • Knowledge of Excel; 
  • Administratively strong; 
  • Communication skills: You can communicate clearly with various stakeholders, from owners to maintenance staff.
