Badplaats on the 8th floor of Volkshotel is the place to sweat out your hangover in the sauna, hang out till your fingers shrivel in the hot tubs and get moulded with a massage. And all with a view over Amsterdam.

We are looking for a Lifeguard (m/f/x) for Badplaats on the roof of Volkshotel. Enjoy our hidden rooftop oasis with hot tubs, a small sauna and plenty of space to relax. Every Sunday Badplaats is open to everyone, with regular live music and tasty drinks.

You are responsible for:

Receiving our Badplaats guests on Sundays
Serving drinks
Guiding the artists during live events
Good communication with the Volkshotel departments
Correct financial payment and evaluation
The cleanliness of the indoor and outdoor areas
Adhering to occupational health, hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP)

Job conditions:

You are available on Sundays between 11:30 AM and 6:30 PM
You ensure a pleasant and safe atmosphere for our guests
You have good communication skills and speak Dutch
You have experience in the catering industry
You are representative, independent and guest-oriented
You have a swimming diploma
ER diploma is an advantage
You live in Amsterdam.

What do we offer?

A versatile position for 2 shifts (14 hours) a month. The function can possibly be combined with a function in Canvas, Workshop or Events. Salary indication scale 3 catering collective labor agreement, depending on your age and experience. As an employee of Volkshotel you can stay at the hotel for free every year.
