Room Mate Bruno is looking for a Maintenance Manager!

Bruno has travelled the seas and now is ready to invite guests into his home, to be their true Room Mate. This experience would not be the same without our Maintenance Team and that is why we are looking for our newest Roomie lead our Maintenance department and take this department to a higher level!

As a Maintenance Manager you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the good condition of Room Mate Bruno at maintenance level, managing the technical team of the hotel and planning the tasks related to preventive and corrective maintenance. Additionally, they will be responsible for the correct execution of inspections & certifications according to legal standards.

What responsibilities can you expect?

Being compliant with the standards set by the Company.
Monitoring and planning maintenance of the full hotel at a preventive and corrective level
Management of maintenance technicians (shifts, holidays, organizing daily work, etc ...).
Support & train the maintenance technicians in their duties, daily operations and the Room Mate system (Knowcross).
Resolution of issues concerning the maintenance of the hotels.
Implementation, monitoring and control of works or specific reforms carried out in hotel, in coordination with the Hotel Director
Supplier selection, budget analysis and proposal of suitable companies to Hotel Director for approval
Management of contracts with suppliers
Controlling measurements consumption control in hotels, in particular for energy
Support of and suggestions on protocols, standards and performance criteria in maintenance issues to the technical department
Preparation of proposals and initiatives to Hotel Director on cost control
First point of contact for the lessees in the building (technical & service costs related) and prepare yearly cost overview
First point of contact for technical matters towards the owner of the building,
Create and execute long term maintenance plan,
Participation in meetings with Management Team as a member
Part of Duty Managers Team
Act as Head of BHV and ensure implementation of and compliance with Hygiene and Safety procedures among which, execution of the company emergency responders (BHV) policy and safety plan.
Responsible for compliancy to the ARBO legislation as a risk prevention employee together with the HR Officer.

Our ideal Roomie:

Technical education and or background of at least 5 years of experience in the same or comparable position
Technical experience in different utilities (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, ACS)
Facility management knowledge (hotel experience is a plus)
Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Living in the Rotterdam area
Communicator and a hands-on mentality
