Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician – Dikker & Thijs Hotel, Amsterdam

About the Role
Are you the kind of person who makes sure everything runs like clockwork? We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our beautiful hotel in Amsterdam in excellent condition for our guests.

In this role, you'll:

Respond promptly and professionally to technical issues and requests from guests and colleagues
Perform routine inspections to identify and resolve potential problems early
Ensure all repairs meet our high-quality standards
Lead and carry out scheduled maintenance projects to keep our rooms looking great and functioning perfectly
Oversee periodic safety checks, including legionella control, emergency lighting, and fire safety systems

About You
You enjoy solving technical issues and take pride in maintaining a smooth-running building. Here’s what we’re looking for:

A broad range of technical skills and solid knowledge of building systems (experience with heat pumps and air conditioning systems is a plus)
Previous experience as a hotel technician or relevant technical training is highly valued
Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage your schedule
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
Calm under pressure, with a hands-on and solution-oriented mindset
A proactive, “can-do” attitude – you’re always ready to go the extra mile
Basic English proficiency is required
Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends as needed
A valid driver’s license and residency in or near Amsterdam

What We Offer:

Salary to be determined based on experience, qualifications, and contracted hours
Prospect of a permanent contract
8% holiday allowance and pension contribution
Travel allowance for commuting from outside Amsterdam
25 vacation days based on a full-time contract (38 hours per week)
