Due to some really exciting projects coming up, we are now looking to add to our current maintenance team by hiring a maintenance team member to join us on our next adventure! You will help to look after our mama hostels and support our ClinkNOORD Hostel day to day maintenance requests delivering the smooth running of the hostels and their facilities, ensuring Clink Hostels continues to be a market leader. You will report directly to the maintenance manager but are responsible for carrying out your tasks independently once your task list has been received. You will start with basic daily routines but have the opportunity to get more responsibility and be involved in key projects.

Role Snapshot:
There is a lot of on the job learning in this role and as well as day to day preventative maintenance work for all our hostels. To be more specific, 80% of the role will be based in Clinkmama and Clinkcoco Hostels with the other 20% supporting projects in ClinkNOORD. We offer a 5 days working week in this role, with working hours approximately from 10am to 6pm as the business needs. This role would be perfect for someone who thrives on achieving results, takes accountability for their tasks and has the guest experience as a key focus. 

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, some of your key accountabilities will be:

  • Be part of routine maintenance work throughout both properties as detailed on work schedules and Hotel kit, or as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

  • Diagnose and complete any repair and maintenance tasks to a high-quality including plumbing, joinery and carpentry, painting/decorating, and lighting

  • Complete any routine tests to ensure H&S compliance such as annual PAT testing, inspections of emergency lighting, weekly fire alarm tests and fire evacuations

  • Ensure that all works are conducted in line with risk assessments and relevant regulations including Working at Height, legionella, COSSH, and Manual Handling – do floor walks, check fire exits for obstructions
