Do you want to be the point of contact for all guests and the front office team? With the combined position of Manager on Duty / Shiftleader Front Office, you make sure the guests feel at home and work with all operational departments.

A day as...

You feel like a spider in the web again today! After all, you are the point of contact for the hotel. You are enjoying a great morning shift during the weekend, starting with reading the handovers after your days off and to be up to date. You walk around the hotel, joining the handovers of Front Office, Housekeeping and Restaurant EAST. You check whether everything is ready before the start of the breakfast and check whether the hotel entrance looks neat, so that you can welcome all guests to the hotel lobby with peace of mind. With a smile you greet the first guests you see coming out of the elevator and you start your first tour through the corridors where the CASA students live. Oops, there obviously has been a party last night. There's confetti everywhere! You can resolve this without any problems together with the students involved and your colleague from Facility. You then check a number of hotel rooms for cleanliness and maintenance, you complete the checklist with eye for detail, share your feedback with the departments involved, you ensure that the bed sheets are straightened and the coffee amenities are replenished.

Suddenly the fire alarm goes off! You will be at the reception in no time, fortunately you and the shift leader have already coordinated the tasks at the start of the shift on what you will do in the event of a fire alarm. Luckily, it turns out to be a false alarm caused by a guest who smoked in the room. Naturally, you are proactive in contacting the guest to give the guest a smoking fine. This is how we keep the hotel safe for everyone! Once you are back at reception, there is a screaming guest complaining that he did not sleep well in the room that was too hot. You resolve this complaint perfectly in consultation with the guest and they check out satisfied. Feeling satisfied, you have a nice lunch and finish your rounds, prepare the VIP rooms, and ensure that all your colleagues and guests continue to feel safe and welcome. Before you go home, you update your room hygiene project in consultation with the Housekeeping Manager. On the way to that department, you walk through the lobby and shake up the cushions on the couches. Hey, your shift is already over! You transfer your MOD shift to your fellow MODs and enjoy a end off shift drink with your colleagues in the student lounge!
