The Times Hotel is looking for a part-time night receptionist to join our young and ambitious team.

The Times Hotel is an Amsterdam based hotel, set up by the Van der Vliet family in 2006 with a love for the city of Amsterdam, run by manager Gigi van Es. The entire ground floor and all hotel rooms were recently renovated, to create a homely atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home. We have an informal work environment and adjust ourselves to the guest we are connecting with.

What will you do?

You welcome our guests on arrival at The Times Hotel
You support guests with checking in and out
You help guests by answering questions about the rooms, the hotel, the location or about Amsterdam
You ensure that your workplace, the lounge and the rest of the hotel are tidy during your working hours
You are the point of contact for potential guests who approach you by phone, mail or website
You make reservations and check them for future days
You deal well with stressful situations and then act according to our company philosophy and standards
You get satisfaction from achieving high sales together with the rest of the team
You provide guests with drinks and snacks
Administrative actions such as checking out guests via pin and credit card machine, the cash register

Punctual both when entering reservation dates as on time
A multitasker and eager to learn
A night person
Both a team player and independent worker
Our preference is for a non-smoker.
You haveA hospitable, enthusiastic appearance and attitude

Passion for the hotel business and likes to meet new people
Representative appearance
Dutch as your mother tongue, or you speak and write English fluently and if you master the German language – that means bonus points ;-)
