The former Shipping House of Amsterdam now houses one of the most iconic 5* hotels in Amsterdam, Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam. Where passage tickets to the East and West used to be sold, a colleague is now being sought who, together with the current crew, will ensure that the correct course is sailed and the ultimate service is provided as befits this house.

Are you an early bird with a passion for good food and hospitality? When most snooze there alarm, you are already eager to provide the ultimate breakfast for guests. Does this soond appealing to you? Then you might be the breakfast employee we are looking for!

Tasks and responsibilities

But what is the ultimate breakfast? As a breakfast employee you are the first face the guests will see that day. You welcome them with a smile and immediately offer them a delicious cup of tea or coffee. You ensure that the tables are set so that the guest can take a seat right away. You also ensure that the breakfast buffet remains tidy and you take orders so that the guest does not lack anything. Where necessary, you have no problem helping your colleagues behind the bar and you are always willing to help. When breakfast is finished, you prepare everything for lunch. And starting early naturally also means finishing on time. At the end of your shift, you hand over the responsibilities to your colleagues and you still have the whole afternoon to do other things.

Your luggage

We are looking for a real host/hostess who can offer guests an unforgettable service in the early hours. Because of the early start time, it is useful that you live in the Amsterdam area. Due to the many international guests we receive in Amsterdam every day, an excellent command of the English language is required (of course, more languages are always welcome 😉). Relevant experience is always useful but not necessary, our team can teach you everything.

We will also register you with the Horeca & Catering Pension Fund.

Based on a 0-hour contract, you will earn €13,84 per hour gross in accordance with the Horeca Collective Labor Agreement. The work schedule is always published 3 weeks in advance, whereby a fair division will always be made between weekends and public holidays. There is a nice allowance for holidays worked, just like the 8% holiday allowance. Our employees are of great value to us and we want you to stay. There are always options for contract extension and career opportunities.
