What will be your role?

Your role as Rooms Division Manager at the Conservatorium Hotel is key to ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Leading a diverse team that includes Front Office, Guest Relations, Concierge, Doormen, and Luggage Porters, you will support their talent and delivery of our renowned five-star service. Training and development initiatives will be central to your responsibilities, ensuring that every team member embodies our commitment to excellence and adheres to Forbes Quality standards.

 

Your ability to connect with returning guests and manage large entertainment groups will further add to our guest experience, maintaining our standard for luxury and personalisation. As a brand ambassador for the Conservatorium Hotel and The Set Collection, you will cultivate lasting guest relationships.

 

This role presents unique challenges, such as integrating Guest Relations seamlessly with Front Desk operations, and managing a team with diverse backgrounds and experience levels. Your success will be measured by your ability to deliver on KPIs including guest data quality, upselling, guest satisfaction scores, loyalty programme engagement, and mystery guest evaluations. Collaborating closely with management peers, you will oversee departmental budgets, conduct Forbes quality checks, and ensure the impeccable presentation of our rooms and amenities.

The Rooms Division department serves as the primary point of contact for all guests, playing a crucial role in communication with other departments. What are we looking for?

Our ideal Rooms Division Manager is an experienced team leader who has built up a considerable background in front desk management. In this role, you act as the host of the hotel towards our guests and as a leader and coach towards your teams, therefore you possess the necessary charisma, diplomacy, cultural awareness and luxury touch. You lead by example and have the ability to connect people and possess the knowledge and skills to coach your teams towards the highest standards of guest service. Furthermore, you have/are:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years in front office management and managing multidisciplinary teams;
  • An eye for detail and quality, with at least 2 years of management experience within the luxury segment, including close contact with guests;
  • An academic background in hotel management (not required);
  • Proficiency in English (Dutch and additional languages preferred) and impeccable communication style;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management systems (Opera and HotSOS preferred);
  • Flexibility to work morning, evening, weekend and occasionally night shifts.
