An old place in a new guise. A few years ago, the monastery was transformed into a hotel, and more recently, it has come under new management. Here, you will find authenticity with a personal touch. We aim to be a gathering place for the local community, the rest of Utrecht, and tourists. We strongly believe in connecting international guests with the local environment.

Located at Kanaalstraat 197, you’ll find the only hotel in Lombok, featuring stained glass, old wooden beams, a beautiful courtyard, a restaurant, a bar, and a chapel over 100 years old for events. From morning to night, we host an interesting mix of people: hotel guests, locals, creative freelancers, students, and business professionals. Here, you can eat, sleep, work, meet, socialize, or just drop by and end up staying for a while. All day, every day. 

Your Daily Routine

As a Sales and Reservations Associate, you will primarily be involved in the acquisition of events and processing incoming reservations. You will typically work Monday to Friday, but may occasionally need to be available on weekends for larger events.

Before your shift, you will check in with your colleagues. The atmosphere in our hotel is guest-oriented, yet certainly not formal.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Processing incoming event requests and hotel bookings.

- Responding to incoming inquiries via email and phone.

- Sending business quotes and confirmations.

- Performing light administrative tasks.

- After-sales, drafting evaluations, and receiving feedback for improvements.

Additionally, you may occasionally assist with tours, check-ins and check-outs, or work on events you’ve secured, ensuring everything runs as agreed. No two days are the same.

We also value:

- Efficient work habits, reliability, and contributing to team spirit.

- Experience in a similar role.

- Experience with PMS systems like Mews and Eventtemple is a plus.

What We Offer:

This is a full-time position for 5 days a week. Salary is in accordance with the hospitality CAO and commensurate with your responsibilities and experience. As an employee of The Anthony, you get to stay for free in the hotel every year. This vacancy is open to any candidate who recognizes themselves in this description.
