What are my responsibilities?
As an Engineer you will be part of the Engineering department. You…
- Perform day to day maintenance work in hotel rooms, public areas and back of house areas.
- Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, etc. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves.
- Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies as needed.
- Maintain inventory and purchase orders log. Inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers. Operate power lift.
- Manage on-site contractors and any outside maintenance done by contractors.
- Perform maintenance painting in and outside the hotel.
- Maintain and renew all different types of wallpaper.

To be eligible for this position you…
- Have excellent communication skills in English and preferably Dutch.
- Have experience in painting including water based painting.
- Have a completed LTS / Electro technical study.
- Have a hospitable personality.
- Have to be flexible, able to work in different shifts (day, evening, weekend).
- Eligible to work in the Netherlands

A unique opportunity is awaiting you in the city center of one of the most dynamic markets in Europe. We are excited that the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently undergoing a full transformation. A major investment has been made in the hotel which will result in completely renovated guest rooms and public areas, including a brand-new bar, restaurant and rooftop bar & terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms and an additional conference center will be constructed. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has a very high focus on sustainability and will aim to become an enhancement to the city of Amsterdam.
