The ladies and gentlemen at reception are the calling card of the boutique-style Monet Garden Hotel (4* -105 rooms).
To strengthen this team, we are looking for a shift leader, who will provide guidance and leadership during the 8 hours of their shift and will report directly to the Front Office Manager.
We are looking for a talented and hospitable colleague who will do everything thye can to pamper the guests and who enjoys training interns and new employees.
You have an eye for detail and you will manage 2 to 3 employees during your shift and you will ensure that all activities during your shift are carried out in accordance with the established procedures. As a shiftleader that leads by example, you will of course also ensure that the following tasks are carried out correctly: checking in and out guests, providing (tourist) information, administration of reception-related matters, accepting and processing reservations, but also: having an eye for (fire) safety and being the point of contact for customers and relations of the hotel.
Furthermore, you ensure that the guests lack nothing: you happily serve a drink and you prepare simple meals for our guests. In short: you are the spider in the web and know how to connect everyone and continuously exceed the expectations of our guests!
You participate in departmental meetings and safety training.
This position is a full-time position, 5 days a week of 7.6 hours per shift. The shifts take place between 7 and 23:00 from Monday to Sunday.
You have completed a relevant training to fill this challenging position at our reception and at least 1 year of reception experience in a hotel.
You are fluent in Dutch and/or English, preferably a third foreign language. You are an authentic host or hostess and enjoy exceeding guests' expectations.
Experience with MEWS is an additional recommendation, you are also flexible, hardworking, a team player and above all a nice colleague. You are representative and know what to do in Amsterdam and the area surrounding the hotel. Hospitality is in your blood and 'no' does not exist. You think in solutions instead of problems.
Furthermore, you are super friendly, fast, energetic, hands-on, polite, decisive and efficient.
You have an EU-nationality or you already have a permit to work in the Netherlands and you have a place to stay in Amsterdam or its vicinity. We cannot sponsor you or arrange housing.
