Restaurant Vermeer is an internationally acclaimed modern restaurant in the heart of the City of Amsterdam. Under the management of Chef Tjaco van Eijken, the team focuses on innovation and quality. The main ingredients are always locally sourced, and some vegetables and herbs are harvested in and around Amsterdam. You meet the following requirements:

  • You have at least 2 years of experience as assistant sommelier in a fine dining restaurant;
  • You have an MBO 4 diploma Hotel School or similar credentials;
  • You have an affinity for wine, and you have your wine certificates;
  • You have good organizational and communication skills;
  • You speak Dutch and English fluently.

What are you going to do?

In the role of Sommelier you are the link between the kitchen and the service team, and you provide a subtle and personable service. Together with the chef, you know how to enthuse and amaze the guests with a unique wine menu and exciting wine and food combinations. Your ultimate goal is for our guests to walk out the door with more than a satisfied feeling and return in the future.
