We are looking for a sous chef for the brigade of our kitchen. We are looking for an experienced sous chef who does not shy away from +100 covers per evening and gala dinners for 300 pax.
As a sous chef you are the spider in the web in the kitchen, you lead the kitchen team and report directly to the head chef. In this versatile position you are responsible for the day-to-day running of the brigade. This concerns breakfast, lunch, dinner and banqueting.
Job description:
In the absence of the Head Chef, you are responsible for the coordination of kitchen activities,
You report to the Head Chef,
Manage the kitchen staff,
Independent operational cooperation in the kitchen,
Quality control of production, and correcting it if necessary,
Performing any other activities that can reasonably be expected of you within our hotel,
You monitor the culinary level,
You suggest improvements for the culinary menu and recipes,
Preparing dishes according to recipe and planning.
Job requirements:
You have extensive experience in a similar position (at least 3 to 5 years of experience in classic gastronomic cuisine). Hotel experience is an absolute plus,
You are able to stimulate colleagues in entrepreneurship,
You have good communication skills,
You are proficient in Dutch,
You have a teacher's diploma,
You are flexible and passionate,
You are multifunctional and all-round. You are willing to work flexible shifts, especially in the evenings and weekends.
