The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has the position of Steward available.

What are my responsibilities?

As a Steward you are a crucial part of our Kitchen team. You operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor. You ensure that the kitchen and storeroom areas are cleaned and disinfected. You receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock. You ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas. You use detergent, rinsing, and sanitising chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes. You inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, and send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing. You sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware, breakdown dirty bus tubs & empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area. You clean and mop all areas in assigned departments. In addition you dispose of glass in the proper containers. You break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.

A major investment has been made in the hotel which will result in completely renovated guest rooms and public areas, including a brand-new bar, restaurant and rooftop bar & terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms and an additional conference center will be constructed. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has a very high focus on sustainability and will aim to become an enhancement to the city of Amsterdam.
