Are you a driven chef who can work independently and ready for a new challenge with the world’s largest hotel chain?
As a independently working chef, you are responsible for the daily culinary preparation and presentation of dishes. You will work closely with the kitchen team and report to the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare à la carte dishes according to recipes and schedules
Prepare and portion ingredients following HACCP guidelines
Perform mise-en-place tasks
Check quality and taste of all dishes before service
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen; comply with all safety and HACCP regulations
Manage stock levels and submit orders in a timely manner
Train and mentor junior cooks and apprentices
Coordinate with service staff and other hotel departments to ensure a perfect guest experience
You are:
Passionate about hospitality and experienced in the kitchen
Knowledgeable in modern (international) culinary techniques and presentation
Exceptionally organized and able to perform under pressure
Proactive with a strong sense of teamwork
Flexible in availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Proficient in Dutch and English
